Jon, a UW-Madison graduate received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics (with Honors) in 1981 and completed the Masters of Science – Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis program in 1983 under the guidance of the well-renowned Professor James A. Graaskamp.​

Jon started his San Diego career with John Burnham & Co in the Real Estate Finance Division in 1983. In 1988, he joined a north county development company to continue his financing activities and develop new commercial projects. While there, he was involved with 3 new projects with 9 buildings and a total of over 150,000 sf of new commercial development. In addition to financing projects, he was also involved with construction management, property management and leasing. From 1990 until 2014, Jon was involved with his own mortgage banking firm and property management company.
 
In 2000, Jon partnered up with Andy Graham originating loans with life companies, banks, and credit unions. Together they broadened their financing platform by joining with The Alison Company in 2014 and opening its San Diego office. Jon’s responsibilities include loan production, maintaining investor relationships and continuing/increasing presence in the San Diego market. ​
